Global Green Energy Innovation Technology Collaboration (2018)
Dear PV colleagues, The Asian Photovoltaic Industry Association (APVIA) and New Energy Industry Association for Asia and the Pacific (NEIAAP) and Shanghai New Energy Industry Association (SNEIA) have jointly launched the “Global Green Energy Innovation Technology Collaboration” programme. The aim is to promote the application and industrialization of high-tech achievements among research institutions and universities, domestic enterprises, and overseas counterparts. Serving as a bridge we aim to speed up the process of converting technological achievements into productive capabilities and to promote the bi-directional exchange of technology and information.

The forms of “Global Green Energy Innovation Technology Collaboration” include: cutting-edge technology seminars, project match-making and highlighting significant achievements, etc. The key priority focus will be on: Solar PV, Wind energy, Biomass, Hydrogen, Energy Storage, Smart grid, Energy Internet, New energy vehicles, etc.

As organizer, we are cordially inviting you to participate in the “Global Green Energy Innovation Technology Collaboration” program in 2018. The first event will be held in World Future Energy Summit (WFES) on 17 January 2018 in Abu Dhabi.Click for more

Focusing on the Situation of Photovoltaic(PV), "JNTECH·BaiXing+" Energy Storage PV System Make Leading Layout

The National Energy Administration ["13th 5year" energy development planning] point out that if optimize solar energy development layout and give priority to the development of distributed PV(Photovoltaic) power generation, the distributed PV will have a promising future of 60GW. And 2017 as the first develop year of China distributed PV,the first 3 quarters of this year, the distributed PV installed amount is up to 15GW which occupy 37.5% of total PV amount. It is an increase of 3 times. National Energy Administration official expect that throughout this year, the distributed PV will exceed 20GW. Although, from the characteristics of distributed power station, it is one of the most suitable development models for the current PV system. But behind of the high-speed development, there are serious problems : The grid-connected problem for example. The large capacity of distributed PV market, the saturation of regional market and increase of distributed PV penetration rate will bring series challenges to the power station. So,it is urgent to increase back up supply in the power station, changing and improving the operation and protection mechanism of the distribution network system to maintain stability. To the power system, a large amount of distributed PV access will cause burden on it.

Sunny days are here again with International Solar Alliance
India is ready with an innovative energy solution with the International Solar Alliance (ISA) becoming a treaty-based international intergovernmental organisation today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s brainchild, highlighting India’s proactive contribution to deal with climate change, and co-founded by then-French President Fran?ois Hollande, the ISA was launched on November 30, 2015, at the Paris COP 21convention. Two years later, it has come a long way.

‘Vision is to make 200-MW solar power in India airports’
The civil aviation ministry is envisioning to generate 200-MW of solar power at airports in India, as a part of the initiative to go green.

Transcend traditions: Pakistani women at the forefront of solar energy promotion
With about 300 sunny days every year, Afghanistan is well situated for solar power, and soon the country will be generating electricity with its first industrial-scale solar photovoltaic array.

Climate Mitigation Finance Update: Progress in Mapping and Financing Wind Power; Financing Call for Renewable Energy Projects
The latest updates in climate mitigation finance include financing for projects in solar, wind, and geothermal energy in several countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, India and Afghanistan. Other notable developments include initiatives to improve enabling conditions for renewable energy deployment through the launch of a global tool for mapping wind power potential and a US$50 million call for developing country funding applications from the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD).

Thailand’s bigger RE ambitions may lead to economic renaissance – IRENA
Increasing the role of solar PV in its energy mix from 6 GW to almost 17 GW is one of IRENA’s key recommendations for Thailand. Noting that RE national targets could be comfortably surpassed by a quarter to reach more than 37% by 2036, its report finds more ambitious deployment could save over US$9 billion annually, proving to be a major turning point for the entire economy.
