First Solar to power 100 MW solar park in Pakistan
First Solar (link is external), Inc. will supply more than 860,000 high-performance thin-film modules to power a 100 MW utility-scale photovoltaic solar power plant developed by Zorlu Enerji (link is external) in Pakistan. It will be the first utility-scale solar project in Pakistan to be powered by First Solar.

Egypt's NREA negotiates with 5 banks to obtain revolving loan
The New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA) is currently in talks with five local banks to obtain a revolving loan worth EGP 1bn to finance solar power projects with capacities of less than 500 kW.
