PV manufacturer Renesola has received certification across three continents for its string inverter ‘Replus’ opening up a wave of market expansion.

In total, eight new countries have issued certificates including the US, Canada and Thailand.

Xianshou Li, Renesola's CEO said the new certifications will allow the company to expand its downstream inverter business in North America, Europe and Asia, as it aims to “provide energy-efficiency solutions to households and large-scale PV systems in markets across the world".

Florian Dieckmann, marketing manager at Renesola Europe said: “we are doing our homework to enter markets with all the required documents” adding Renesola’s R&D teams are looking to produce inverter technology that can compete with China.

“Since the decrease in FiTs, we need more competitive products, we aim to provide better technology to be more competitive and drive down costs,” he added.

The inverter received Intertek certificates: UL1741, CSA C22.2 and IEEE1547, for US and Canada certification.

A CE certification for European validation, and CEI 0-21 certification from EuroTest for Italy.

VDE0126 and EN50438 certificate from Bureau Veritas, the standard for Slovakia and the Czech Republic, also the IEC62116 and IEC61727 certificates to enter markets in Hungary, Thailand and Sri Lanka.

Renesola already has certificates for Australia and other European countries.
